The short answer is yes. Blood thinners will significantly raise your risk and severity of possible bruising. However, fillers can still be placed if you are otherwise a good candidate. I have found that the cannula technique can reduce, but not completely eliminate, the risk of fillers in people currently taking blood thinners. Blood thinners are not a contraindications for the injection of fillers. You need to be aware, however, that you are at an increased risk for bleeding and bruising following the procedure. Good Luck!
