Hello Lailaa2213,It is normal to have swelling after any filler. The lips tend to swell more so than other areas. If this is related to swelling then within about 2 weeks it should have settled down. However, if the duck look is because you were over injected then it can take up to a year for it to naturally go away. You could also simply inject an enzyme to dissolve the Juvederm before that if you aren't pleased with the look. In either case you should discuss this with your injector.I hope this helps and good luck.
Of course it is swelling. It can also depend on the type of material injected (some HA are more hydrofilic than Others), the amount injected and the level of injection (submucosal or submuscular). Be careful when using icepacks not to have them directly in cointact with the lips, otherwise you risk a ice burn
Swelling following fillers in the lips is very common. It may take a couple of weeks for the swelling to completely resolve. Cold compresses can speed up the process.
I always tell my patients to not love their fillerinjections for 2 weeks. Swelling is very common and sometimes immediate. It canlast 3-7 days and a good idea is to use cold compresses. Cold compresses may beused immediately after treatment to reduce swelling only if needed. This may beapplied for 3 minutes, 3 times per day, for up to 3 days. This is best donewith a bag of peas in a zip lock bag. Only apply light pressure to the area butgentle massage might be necessary if the bump is from the filler materialitself. Get Arnica gel if you can find some and apply a few times a day as wellto help treat any swelling. Avoid any blood thinners. Bruising can also last1-2 weeks. I don't recommend hyaluronidase this early and wait a few weeksuntil the swelling has resolved. If it is persistent or you are worried, set upa follow up appointment with your dermatologist.
Hello leannewilliamson,It can take up to 14 days for the swelling to go away. It is not uncommon to have some swelling after any filler injection and the lips tend to swell more than other areas. Depending on how much you had injected the result you are seeing could be simply...
Thank you for your question. It is unlikely that Juvederm has caused this. However, I recommend having the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase. Hopefully this resolves your problem. Best of Luck!
Juvederm is a wonderful injection for nasolabial lines, lips, chin, and cheeks. I wish you would post a photo since I am not sure which white spots you are speaking about. It is possible that the product was injected too superficially in thin lines and in those cases I usually inject R...
