A good option for you is to consider a Buccal Fat Pad Resection and Chin Liposuction.A buccal fat pad resection is a good option to lean the lower portion on the face in order for it to appear less round. It is performed through tiny incisions inside the mouth with no external scarring and can give very nice results. Yes you can do this but there is high risk of damaging nerves and blood vessels in the area. Plus, there is a number of people who look larger now but later lose the volume and want it back. So my suggestion is to keep the volume now and go to a facial contouring expert to evaluate you. Best, Dr. Emer.

Becky,Thanks for the question. i think the options for improving lower face definition will be liposuction for below the jawline, and possible buccal fat pad reduction for above the jawline.It is possible to have liposuction along the jawline but up into the cheek can be limited in the change that can be made.If the Masseter muscle that is used to chew and close the jaw is large it can be reduced with botox injectionI hope that  is of some helpJeremy Hunt

There are a number of options. Yes you can have liposuction to the neck as well as the cheek region. You might also consider botox to you masseter biting muscles. These will all give relatively subtle effects. There is also a buccal fat pad which can be sufgically removed. Finally The jaw bone itself can actually be shaved down to refine the shape of the face but this is obviously a more radical option.

Thank you for sharing your photos!  While it is difficult to say without an in-person examination, you may benefit from a lipectomy and non-surgical options.

"Double chin” is one of the most frustrating issues for patients, because it can be a stubborn area that does not respond to exercise or diet. Until recently, the only solution was surgery.
