Fat Freezing. Is there much difference between the Zeltiq and Clatuu fat freezing devices?

Question

Is there much difference between the Zeltic and Clatuu fat freezing device or are the both equally effective? I know there are some cheap and not effective machines out there, but I can't really figure out if to go for Zeltic or Clatuu. Thank you.

When it came time for our clinic to decide on a body contouring / cryolipolysis machine we evaluated all of the available evidence and decided on Coolsculpting for a number of reasons. First and foremost, Coolsculpting is safe. Coolsculpting has a “freeze detect” technology that detects if the skin is getting too cold, and automatically shuts down the treatment. I have heard disaster stories of clients undergoing cheaper treatments overseas and having frost-bite from unregulated freezing technology. Secondly, as a medical clinic, we wanted to have the treatment with the most clinical evidence behind it; this is clearly Coolsculpting. Coolsculpting was developed in conjunction with Harvard Medical School and has been the subject of multiple clinical trials in peer reviewed journal articles. Millions of Coolsculpting treatments have been performed worldwide, and the results speak for themselves.
The new Coolsculpting treatment applicators have a temperature of minus eleven degrees, while many other treatments only go down to minus eight or even minus three degrees. The colder the treatment, the quicker the treatment, but also the more fat cells that get damaged and the more effective the treatment.

There is only 1 FDA cleared device for fat reduction in the US and that is Zeltiq's CoolSculpting.  Zeltiq has had over 4 million treatments performed world wide.  You would not be able to use any of Zeltiq's pictures or customer support if you went with another machine.  I would not waste your money on a machine that has not been tried and true.

Hi Sil,
We having been doing Coolsculpting treatments for the past 5 years and 2 years with the Clatuu.  Our patients are preferring the Clatuu over the cool sculpting now.  The clatuu treats two areas at the same time, therefore reducing hours of single treatments with the Coolsculpting.  It is a more affordable treatment but the results have proven similar or even better with some of our patients who have experienced both.
