Breasts make a clicking noise when I massage - what is this? (Photo)

In the early postop period, it's not unusual to hear sounds due to the air that is in the pockets after surgery. However, that air is gradually absorbed, and eventually those noises go away. To hear a new clicking sound ten months after surgery is unusual. You should contact your plastic surgeon so that he/she can give his/her input.Since you associate the sound with massage, presumably the noise arises from the implant itself (perhaps a fold) or from the movement of the implant against the capsule.The purpose of the Singulair is to soften the feel of the implants by allowing the capsule to relax and stretch just enough so that the implant isn't squeezed and doesn't feel hard. Perhaps the capsule has relaxed enough that there is now more room for movement of the implant, resulting in the clicking noise as the implant moves around in the capsule. Just a guess.Run this by your plastic surgeon to see if he/she has any other ideas.

It is hard to say what could be making a clicking sound in your breast implants.  Since you have a capsular contracture it is possible that with massage a breast implant fold is moving with massage and making and abnormal sounds.  Please check with your plastic surgeon for an examination.
