Accidentally removed 'coolcard' during coolsculpting

Question

I was having a procedure done on my stomach and noticed something sticking out of the side. I played around with it and it came out... it was the 'coolcard' I put it back in immediately! This was done half way during the treatment... will this have affected the procedure? Also, just curious.... Was wondering what the numbers on the machine are?

If the machine didn't automatically stop the treatment you are probably fine. You would have seen an error message on the screen if it did stop the treatment. Make sure to tell the physician about what occurred.

Generally, if the Coolcard is removed all the way or even partially, it creates and error and stops the treatment.  (generally accompanied by a funny bell sound or ding) If you did not see an error or notice that the treatment stopped then you got VERY lucky and did not end your cycle prematurely.  As long as the cycle was not stopped or interrupted, everything should be like a normal treatment.  If the cycle stopped, then the applicator would need to be removed and the entire cycle started over again.

The coolcard is the card that the physician buys from Zeltiq. It allows the physician to perform a treatment. Interrupting a cycle usually means the cycle won't be complete. The numbers you see represent various treatment parameters and there is a countdown timer as well. Be well, Dr. M

It is hard to tell if it effected the treatment or not.  If the machine continued to run I would assume that nothing was changed and the treatment continued fine.  I would let your practitioner know what happened.  The numbers on the machine are related to the strength of the suction.Thank you for your question!
