Dear LindaB2015: Cool Sculpting only affects the fat cells which live under your skin but above the abdominal muscle wall. The abdominal CT scan is interested in what lies deep to the muscle wall including the internal organs. The radiologist may note a bit of swelling of the superficial fat layer but your treatment will have no affect on what is seen below the muscle layer.Best of luck to you!G. Robert Meger MD
coolsculpting will not affect a CT scan , I suggest going to an expert for treatment. Best, Dr. Emer.
Having had a CoolSculpting procedure to your abdomen will not affect the results of your scheduled abdominal CT scan.
CT scans are ordered for diagnostic purposes for things within your abdominal cavity, not for the superficial structures like skin and fat. Coolsculpting should not effect your CT Scan results. Anything involving your body and health, it is always best to disclose anything you have done, medicines you have taken, etc. to the radiologist or health care provider---let them determine what information is important or not. Too much information is better than too little.
CoolSculpting done on your abdomen should not have any effect the results of your abdominal CT Scan.
Coolsculpting should not effect the results of an abdominal ct scan. At 1 week post-op, The radiologist may see some swelling under your skin over your lower or upper abs, but this should not effect the overall results of the scan.
Coolsculpting treatment results are optimal at 1 – 3 months. Before this time there is typically some swelling and as the tissue recovers there maybe the appearance of some unevenness which should dissipate over time. If there is persistent lumpiness I would notify your coolsculpting provider.
Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon to have delayed onset pain after Coolsculpting. There is a prescription medication that can help such as Neurontin. I recommend having a follow up with your treating physician for an evaluation. Best of Luck!
Coolsculpting needs to be customized to the patient. One size doesn't fit all. When we see a patient in consultation for Coolsculpting I decided which applicators are needed and if overlap is best. The back fat responds very well to Coolsculpting. Please consult a board certified der...
