Bra Cup language is how patients communicate with each other, how patients speak to their plastic surgeons and how bra manufacturers get involved in the mix.Until now we have had no standard where we can compare or be close to the same starting point. We have just published in Clinic of Plastic Surgery our research that will go a long way toward solving this issue. There are many issues and challenges particularly with manufacturers, for instance Victoria Secret is really become a lingerie line vs a bra manufacturer and will upsize patients 1-2 cup sizes. However in general if you measure across your breast from where it attaches to your chest you can obtain a measurement. about 18cm is a "B" cup, 21.5 a "C" cup. It is impossible to tell from your images but I would estimate you being 17-18 cm...so a full "A"...small "B". to start.Approximately 200ccs is one bra cup so a 400cc implant will bring you up about 2 cup sizes to the small "D range. Remember bra cups are a bell curve...there is no such thing as a set cup size...so a Full C is a Small D. It will vary by manufacturer but will get you to the approximate size to start looking for a new bra.Hope this helps!Best!Dr B
Thank you for your question. It is nearly impossible to predict the cup size that you will be after surgery. To get a good idea though, ask your surgeon if you can "try on" the implants in his or her office. All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL
