Puffy nipples after breast augmentation? (Photo)

Question

I had a BA 1 year 5 months ago and got 615xhp which turns out was to big and I have all sorts of problems requiring revision surgery but something that bothers me is that my nipples are now puffy. They were nice and small pre op and now they look big and puffy, is there a reason as to what this could be? I'm not tuberous, don't require a lift, not borderline so is it another problem due to the implants being to large? I attached before and afters of my nipples, there not hard in either.

Based on your description, it sounds as if, yes, the large implant is placing press on the tissue of your nipples. Schedule an appointment with your surgeon to discuss your options the most obvious being exchanging your current implants for smaller ones. Hi,The cause of this will 2 foldFirstly there is tension on the tissue soon after the implant is placed, and the weakest tissue being the areolar will often pout temporarily, until the skin  envelope loosensThe second is that the nerve supply can be impaired temporarily and this usually settles with time.I hope that explains what is a common findingJeremy hUNT

Hello,Thank you for the question and photos. Your areolas do appear to be showing evidence of pressure from your implants. This can be common, especially with larger implants.  If they feel otherwise normal, this is not likely an issue. I recommend that you share your concern with your Plastic Surgeon if you notice any discomfort associated with these changes.All the best

When a patient has a breast augmentation all the skin of the breast is stretched to accommidate the new volume. The larger the implant the more the skin stretches. The nipple aerola is part of the skin and stretches just like the rest. Some peoples skin stretches more than others. Your change is a bit more than most but not that unusual.  I could not see your whole post op result, but I think you turned out well.
