I have crepey skin on my neck already - age 50 - wondering when my thyroid is removed if I could have a plastic surgeon stitch me up and get him to remove a little skin on the neck when he's doing it. Would this help at all? I know the thyroid removal is only going to make the crepiness worse. If this wouldn't help is there something not too stressful I could do at the same time? I don't think I want to heal from thyroid removal and neck lift at same time. Thank you!

Discuss your options with your surgeon. To get the best result, your surgeon may need to go through the lower face/ neck incisions, free up the skin and re-drape it for a smoother neck. I agree with you that a revision will be needed.
