Marble in belly button trick... how long do you keep the marble in?

Good morning, TwinMommy2016. Congratulations on your TT! I, like your plaatic surgeon, like the marble (or an oval bead) for the belly button. As to how long one needs to do it, or how much benefit an individual patient will realize, varies significantly from patient to patient. Generally, the eraly the marble is started and the more consistently it is used, the likely the more effective it will be. Some only need to do it for a month or two, and others may need to wear it for several months.  There are other factors that impact the final belly button results, with or ithout thd marble.  For example, the design of the new belly button hole by the surgeon and the placement of surures to shape and imbricate the belly button, as well as to create a deeper dimpling of the suirrounding abdominal wall skin, has a strong impact. Likewise, a repair of a hernia and/or diastasis will have influence on the umbilicus position, contour, and persistance of post-operative swelling. Additionally, I have foond that it is more difficult to make a deeper indentation around the belly button when the abdominal wall skin is thin, compared to a woman who is alittle chubbier.I would suggest to my patients that they  you stick with the marble for a least a couple more months.
