Terminology for various laser treatments and peels is going to vary widely between different doctors. Different lasers, even with the same basic technology, will give varied results. An in-person consultation with a doctor specializing in facial aesthetics can be helpful to review specific areas of concern and treatment options.
Both are laser treatments to improve skin texture and tone. I recommend lasers in combination with microneedling and prp in order to get the best results. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
Thanks for your question! The difference is the depth and the recovery. The nano laser peel is less than 10 microns deep and a micro laser peel is 10-100 microns deep. Both treatments will help with skin texture, while the microlaser peel is also able to remove superficial sun damage from the skin. The deeper the peel, the longer the recovery, but you have more significant improvement with deeper peels. With a nano peel you may be red for 12-24 hours, like a sunburn. With Micro laser peel you may be red for up to 10 days depending on who deeply you are treated. If you don't want that much downtime, you can repeat a Nano Peel monthly with mild-moderate improvement.Good luck to you!
Thanks for the great question! The main difference is the depth and the recovery. The nano laser peel is typically 4-6microns and a micro laser peel can be 10-100 microns deep. Both treatments will help with skin texture, while the microlaser peel is also able to remove superficial sun damage from the skin. Because the microlaser peel is going down to a deeper point in the skin the recovery is longer. With a nano peel you may be red for 12-24 hours, while with a micro laser peel you may be red for 1-10 days depending on who deeply you are treated. I hope this helps!~Dr. Sieber
Yes, basically they are the name thing. They are both resurfacing treatments, but they go at different depths. In my office, the nano peel is lighter with less down time. Sometimes we refer to this treatment at a "Weekend Peel." You have to wear aquaphor and heal in about 3 days. The results are minimal. The micro peel goes a little bit deeper, with more dramatic results. However, the downtime is about 5-7 days. Typically patients have to do aquaphor for about 4-5 days.
