Hi I had vaser lipo done this week on my torso. I was wondering if Cryo therapy would be beneficial and accelerate the healing process? I hesitate because I still retain a lot of liquid and not sure if that would freeze causing damage. I understand that I need to check with my surgeon first and follow his strict orders but I am curious to hear your opinion.
Answer: Post Lipo - Lymphatic Massage, Hyperbaric Oxygen, RF (Venus Legacy, Exilis, Vanquish, InMode Forma), Cellutone/Z Wave/Evive cryo cant hurt but I never found it to help that much, not nearly as much as hyperbaric and massage with compression. If you are unhappy with your results please speak to your physician and ensure he was a full body VASER HD liposuction physician with expensive experience in body shaping and not just traditional fat reduction. At this point you should be using compression, RF treatments like venus legacy / exilis ultra / inmode forma or contoura and lymphatic massage to get you through healing. We always add shock wave therapy such as cellutone, z wave, and eclipse evive to help prevent scar tissue formation and ensure an even and smooth result. It will take 6-12 months to see the final outcome. If you are unhappy you can get a revision procedure by an expert in VASER HD lipo. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Vaser Lipo. There should be no need to do Cool Sculpting or any other cryo. procedure after Vaser. Vaser usually gives you what you need, but it does take 4-6 months to see final reults with nice results 6 weeks post procedure. If need be at 6 months out a Vaser touch up could be done to give a nice finishing touch. Talk with your doctor, don't do the Cryo procedure. Hope this helps. JB

Answer: High definition VASER liposuction Recovery takes between 2-4 weeks before you can return to normal activity. Often times there is swelling following your surgery. This swelling can take as long as six months to subside before you see the complete results of your cosmetic surgery. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a VASER specialist will help you get an accurate recommendation. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee

Answer: Cryo-therapy after liposuction I would avoid doing this for a multitude of reasons. You want to wait to see what the liposuction developed. Adding a secondary fat distractive treatment I'm top of this would lead to results that can't be deciphered. If your liposuction was done correctly then you should not need an additional treatment. People often retain numbness and a lack of sensation after liposuction. The skins ability to auto regulate temperature may be altered. It certainly is early after liposuction within the first few days. This could lead to actual frostbite tissue necrosis from excessive cold or hot. Unfortunately I've seen one case where someone literally cooked himself with a heating pad causing for thickness 30 green burns of their abdomen. Cold and hot can both cause for thickness tissue necrosis. Check with your plastic surgeon. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Cryotherapy one week after vaser liposuction? Hi and welcome to our forum! You are most likely experiencing inflammatory swelling after your recent procedure. It will initially totally obscure the operative result. 60-80% will resolve within 6 weeks with the remainder slowly abating over 6 months or so. I would not advise adding another procedure so soon after your surgical procedure. The tissues are swollen, their blood supply has been "tampered with", and there may be added risks of infection or tissue loss. It will not accelerate the healing process....actually quite the opposite! Be patient...you may consider non surgical modalities after swelling subsides and the tissues become more hardy (3-6 months from now). Best wishes...
