32 yo- mastopexy with L 375, R 330 cc mentor memoryshape mod profile silicone implants ~5 yr ago. I never loved the result, but felt it was an acceptable improvement. I am interested in a revision to achieve a more lifted, rounded look and have excess skin excised (d/t 20# weight loss over time?). My L breast has a secondary distal fold and has changed shape, now with a flattened area lateral to nipple. Can this be improved? Original surgeon deferred revision, stating the result was satisfactory
Answer: Revision It is possible to do a revision with either a circumareola lift, fat transfers or switching out implants, if that is something you would want to do. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Revision Your own tissue has sagged with your implants remaining in place. An examination is needed to see what can and cannot be done. However, using the vertical incision below your nipple, excess skin can be removed. Your nipples may still be in good position, but measurements are needed,

Answer: Revision surgery Dear gnk8832, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals. Answer: Can I achieve a more lifted, rounded look and have excess skin excised with a revision? Hello @gnk8832 thank you for your question and showing your pictures. Yes you can improve the look of your breast with a revision changing the prostheses with total removal of the prosthesis and its capsule, change it for new prosthesis or fat transfer to the breast. Is important that you have a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon so you can have more information and recommendations. Best wishes!

Answer: Breast implant revision Thank you for the question. Although an in-person examination is needed in order to definitively analyze the issue, revision surgery should improve the appearance of your breasts. I wish you the best of luck.
