Hello and thank you for your question. If you had a hyaluronic acid based filler injected in your lips (such as Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero, etc) you can have them dissolved with an injectable enzyme called hyaluronidase. Depending how much was injected and how much needs to be dissolved, it may take several injection points which can be a bit painful as it burns a bit when it enters the skin. You can ask your injector to apply numbing cream beforehand to ease the pain of the needle pricks, however. Otherwise, it is a pretty quick procedure and is generally tolerated well.
The injection of the hyaluronidase is uncomfortable, but it is also quick. If you ice beforehand and they use a small needle it is not bad.
Thank you for your question. Please consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon to determine your candidacy and discuss the recovery process. Each patient has a different response based on their previous filler amount.Best wishes,

Thank you for your question. It should be the same feeling as you received injections coming from the same injector. I dental block ALL my clients whether getting lip fillers or placing removal agent so its painless. All the best, Dr. Thuy Doan. Atlanta
Injecting hyaluronidase into the lips can be uncomfortable since the lips are very vascular and have lots of nerve endings. The hyaluronidase mixed with a numbing medicine and ice usually make the injections comfortable.
The process of injecting hyaluronidase into the lips is exactly the same as when the lips are being augmented, except much, much quicker. Good luck from New York City
Assuming you had an HA filler, injecting hyaluronidase to help remove the filler would have approximately the same discomfort as injecting the original filler. Topical anesthetics can be used as well as nerve blocks to lessen he discomfort of injection.
Injection of hyaluronidase can be done with tiniest of needles. It stings for about 10 to 15 seconds and then it is over. Usually one or few injections are needed so it is it quicker and less painful, in my opinion, than getting the filler initially. There will be a bit of edema as well, but usually this is much less and quicker to resolve than with filler injections.Hope this is helpful! Best regards,Dr. Amy
Generally you inject 0.1cc. There is certainly no magic or precision behind it so it is tough to predict the exact results.
