I’m 32 and had 390cc silicon implants put in under the muscle 5 years ago. I’ve always hated the way they feel and I want to get them removed but am really worried about how they will look. I was basicallyj flat before and am terrified about what I’ll be left with and stretching and sagging. I have thought about getting the smallest size implant possible so that they look and feel more natural but don’t want to worry about future surgeries. Would fat grafting be an option? Will I need a lift?
Answer: A lift can be done to improve appearance after implant removal Removal of breast implants, intact or ruptured, may have positive implications if patients are symptomatic. A constellation of symptoms associated with breast implant illness, and autoimmune disease are considered when treating patients who have breast implants and are concerned about foreign body reaction. In our office, we begin this journey with a consideration of symptoms and exclusion of obvious autoimmune problems. In many of our patients, en bloc removal of breast implants with capsulectomy is important and beneficial. Further clinical evidence about breast implant illness is evolving and will continue to guide treatment. I would suggest removal if there is a possibility of foreign body reaction. Answer: What happens after breast implants are removed? The aesthetic result of removing breast implants leaves each woman with a slightly different aesthetic result. In many cases, fat is used to replace the implant volume with some natural volume. In general, the larger your implants are and the lower your nipple position is, the more likely you may want to consider a lift after your implants are removed.

Answer: Interested in breast implant removal, from 32D to AA. What are my options? Will I need a lift? Hello @Elle251, thank you for your question. In my opinion a breast implant removal must be done with an inmidiate breast reconstruction to reposition the mammary tissue and improve the projection of the breast in the upper pole and medial area with the BRALAN Technique (Breast Reconstruction Anatomical Lift Augmentation). If you are considering a breast explantation, consultation with a plastic surgeon who is experienced in this procedure is essential to ensure optimal results. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Implant removal When you have the implants removed your skin will retract to a degree. You may have some looseness to the skin from where it has permanently stretched to accommodate the implants. It does not appear you will need a lift. Be sure to follow your surgeon's post op instructions for optimal results.

Answer: Implant removal Dear Elle251, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. You can get implant removal and wait to see the final results. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.
