(male, 6'2, age 56) I used to be overweight but lost tons of weight. But my skin at my thighs are puffed out and loose (see photo) Is there anything I can do to reduce or get rid of these without surgery or if not, what type of surgery would I need.
Answer: Loose skin options for thighs Skin is the largest organ and we lose 2% of collagen every year after the age of 25. In your case, the added skin was from the weight loss in addition to the aging process so I understand why it bothers you. Non surgical options: RF Microneedling + exosomesRF microneedling + Sculptra even a combination of both. Its the most effective non surgical option if done with the right settings. Surgical options:Body Tite/RenuvionThigh lift Hope this helps. Best, Dr.Anna Avaliani , NYC

Answer: Skin laxity Congratulations on your weight loss! Because of the degree of skin laxity you will likely have the best result from a thigh lift. If you turn to less invasive methods you may not see much improvement. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Surgery Non-surgical options will only provide minimal results in this case. For best results, a mini thigh lift would be recommended. If you desire the least amount of scarring possible, Renuvion would be advised. However, this would only provide approximately 30% the results of a mini thigh lift.

Answer: Recommend doing Morpheus8 to tighten skin Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
