I'm 34, and I recently realized that my knees have aged so badly, one would think I'm 50-55 just by looking at them. It makes my so self conscious and sad. What can I do for that? Thank you in advance
Answer: Options for saggy knees Skin around the knees is a common area that can reflect aging. Many factors can negatively affect skin and cause premature aging....poor diet, hormonal changes(peri/menopause), dehydration, genetics, cumulative sun damage, smoking, etc. With regards to body skin tightening I think you have a couple of options. Treat the skin with hydrating serums/creams, protect against furtherer sun damage by using sunscreen, vits such as A & E, get hormones checked....estradiol (bioidentical) is great for the skin. Consider tightening the skin by using a transdermal approach....such as micro-needling +/- RF or you could use something that tightens from underneath the skin like Renuvion (Jplasma) or Bodytite. If this doesn't help then you could consider surgical options such as a knee lift....as long as you're ok with the scar. Hope this helps!

Answer: Morpheus 8 will help tighten loose skin around the knees Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
