Please be so kind to advice of any added tips in regards to possible supplements to boost well-being after Liposuction or any natural anti-inflammatory's. Thank you very much

Hi and thanks for your question. I hope you are feeling better! For patients who know that they bruise easily I recommend taking BruiseGuard before surgery, which are natural bromelain/arnica tablets.  I also recommend patients take vitamin C and iron starting two weeks before surgery and two weeks after.  I suggest eating a balanced diet and drinking plenty of water and gatorade as well.  Please see you plastic surgeon for more information...best of luck!

We encourage patients to eat a balanced diet but add additional protein to assist with surgical recovery.  Arnica and bromelain may speed the resolution of bruising and swelling.  We restrict most supplements, vitamins, and herbals both before and after surgery, as many are known to increase bruising.  Please discuss any supplements that you are considering with your surgeon.

In our practice, we ask patients not to take any herbal supplements and vitamins for two weeks prior  and two weeks after surgery. Best to just eat a normal balanced diet
