Thank you for your question. It's recommended to wait several hours, even if it's too soon, the results are most likely the same.
I recommend my patients not to engage in heavy exercise for 4-6 hours after Botox injections and not to massage the treatment areas. I hope this helps.Dr. Benjamin J. Cousins MDBoard Certified Plastic Surgeon
It is recommended you wait a few hours after injection before heavy exercise. However it is likely that if you had intercourse soon after injection that your results will not be greatly effected, if at all.
I usually tell my patients not to engage in physical activity for about 4 hours post botox. I wouldn't worry about this though or let it bother you. It should not effect your botox at all.
There are no studies to show what can or cannot happen post botox if you have intercourse. However i recommend to all my patients to wait at least 4 hours before exercising.(sex included)
Typically with any injection to the face for cosmetic purposes you should avoid exercise, sleeping, or bending over for the first 4 hours following injections. If you participated in sexual intercourse 4 hours following your injection you have nothing to worry about. However, if your experience falls within the 4 hour time frame depending on where the injection was performed you may experience eyelid ptosis (drooping of the eyelid) which will become noticeable over the next 5-7 days. Remember, if that happens it is not permanent and will go away in a few weeks. Good luck with everything!
Although there are no actual studies done on this specific topic, one can intuitively extrapolate a reasonable answer. I will assume U received cosmetic botox to the common facial areas (forehead, elevens, crows feet, etc) - normal missionary sex would probably pose no problems. "Doggy styled" or "face down" with any pressure on the face or head could theoretically increase the limited spread of the botox - none of which I would think would really pose any real problems. Some suggest no rigorous activity after but I have many patients that go straight to the gym to work out, run, etc none of which have ever reported a problem. I hope this helps
Hello del dela cruz,Without any information regarding what type of injection, where you had said injection and for what reasons we are unable to assist you with any reliable information.
you never said what kind of injection and where. It is difficult to answer your question without more information. Good luck from New York City
I tell all post injection patients not to workout or engage in physical activity that increases the heart rate. This would include sexual intercourse. It is thought to believe that the botox may not be as effective if you do so within a couple hours of you injections.
Botox takes several days to begin working and up to 2 weeks before it is completely effective. 2 days is very soon to be seeing unwanted side effects. Follow up with your injector 2 weeks after your injections. If your brow has dropped there is likely nothing that they can do for you however t...
Thank you for your question. At only one week since your Botox injections, it is too early to assess the results of treatment. Botox will take from one to two weeks to relax the targeted muscles and produce the desired results. However, depending on your individual situation, Botox may not be...
If one side of your face is lifting higher owing to an overactive muscle, a neuromodulator such as Botox, Dysport or Xeomin can relax it. This will make your face look more symmetrical when you talk, yawn and sing. If that's the muscle responsible for the nasolabial fold, it should smooth out,...
