One over arched eyebrow after Botox injections. Can this be fixed? (Photo)

Question

I received botox for the first time five days ago. My reason for getting botox was to fix the differing heights of my eyebrows. My left eyebrow sat a bit higher on my face (something only I would probably notice). I understand it takes a bit for botox to settle, however my right eyebrow (the eyebrow that was once lower) is now over arched compared to my left. Can this be fixed?

All neuro modulators (botox, dysport or xemomin) take 7-10 days to start working! I usually have them come back after 10 to 14 days if they are first timers. After the first time I know exactly how to reproduce the appropriate effects.

This is quite common as the face is naturally asymmetric and it is not 100% possible to predict the dispersion of Botox once it is injected (like an inkblot). That being said it is best to wait a minimum of two weeks to assess your long term result. On my inspection your right inner brow is lower than your left inner brow meaning that if you try to correct the arch on the right, you may result in an overall lower brow. Options for treating this include slightly more Botox to the right mid/lateral forehead with a small amount to the left lateral infrabrow region. Of course you could wait for the effects to dissipate over 3-5 months. Hope that helps a little bit ;)

Thank you for your question and for submitting your photo.  It can take up to 14 days to see the full effects of a Botox treatment, and it's not uncommon to see slight asymmetry until then.  If your asymmetry persists after 2 weeks, please follow-up with your injector.  He/she may be able to even out your brows with a small touch-up treatment to your forehead.  Best of luck!

I recommend waiting at least two weeks before having any adjustments made.  At that time, you will have noticed the maximal effect of botox and may decide that your eyebrows no longer need fixing. However, if one arch still remains higher, a small amount of botox can be placed in the muscle above the overly arched side to lower it and make your eyebrows symmetrical.

This can be improved by a small amount of Botox placed over the area which is arched. Treating brow asymmetry is not an exact science and you must be pleased that the brow is now close to being symmetric. If you need things to be exact, you should consider surgery which is more precise but still not perfect.

This is not uncommon, and you will want to wait about 2 weeks before getting any wrinkle blocker (e.g., botox, xeomin, dysport) touchup as it takes that long to see the maximal effect.  A few units placed to the overacting frontalis area above the arched area will usually take care of it quite well.  Best regards.

is a purified protein used to address wrinkles associated with facial
expression. Botox can be used to adjust the position of the brow. Placing a small amount (1-2 units) of Botox above a brow will bring down the position of the brow slightly. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!

It can take up two weeks for neuromodulators to fully take effect.  The eyebrow that concerns you could be addressed by injecting more Botox in the forehead above the area of the eyebrow that is being arched. That will work if there is some residual movement in the forehead.  It could also be that there is some contribution from the shape of the forehead/skull or the eyebrow itself.  Visit an experienced injector for a comprehensive assessment.

give yourself another five days and if you're not happy with the result, go back to the original treating physician, From the photos you have submitted it also looks like you may need a little bit more Botox in the upper portion of the forehead.
