Can Botox lift my nose tip? My tip drops even when I am not smiling.

I got injected with botox to lift my nose tip and it has been 4 days already and I see no change at all. Will Botox lift my nose? and if so how long will it take for me to see a change?

Thank you for your question. At only
one week since your Botox injections, it is too early to assess the results of
treatment. Botox will take from one to two weeks to relax the targeted muscles
and produce the desired results. However, depending on your individual
situation, Botox may not be enough to lift the tip of your nose. If, after
several weeks, you do not see your desired changes and the tip of your nose is
not as lifted as you hoped, I suggest contacting your Botox provider for their
advice.

Yes! By paralyzing a muscle called the depressor septi nasi (a muscle that pulls the nasal tip down) you may get a slight lift in the tip.

Hello,It takes approximately 1 week for the Botox to start working.  With that said, it may help lift the nasal tip, however, it can also cause a flaccid upper lip.  If there are still no changes at 2-3 weeks, it's worthwhile to consult with your physician.Chase Lay, MD

Botox can lift the tip of the nose but 4 days is not long enough to determine the effectiveness of the injection. It takes 10-14 days to get the full effect so give it some time

Nothing ever replaces a surgical nasal lift! I sometimes use small amounts of Botox (5 units) with HA fillers to try to effect a very slight lift to the nasal tip. Understand results may only last 6 months...

Thank you for your question.  Botox and/or filler may be used to give a very subtle nose tip lift for those that are dropping.  Botox takes approximately 2 weeks to see its full effect, if at that time you are still dissatisfied with your results, please follow up with your Board Certified Dermatologist/PS who injected you.  Regards, Dr. Matt Elias

Thanks for sharing your question. A subtle lifting of the nasal tip maybe possible with Botox or filler injection but do not expect the results to be dramatic or comparable to surgery. It can take up to 14 days to see the full effects of Botox treatment so I would give it a little more time. Good luck!

Thank you for your question.  Generally speaking, it takes 3 days to see the initial effects of a Botox treatment, and up to 14 days for the full effects to kick in.  That said, I think Botox is generally not an effective option to lift the nasal tip.  Even filler injections only subtly lift the nasal lip, and are not going to provide the dramatic results seen with a surgical procedure.  Best of luck!

Thanks for your question. You mentioned that your tip drops even when you are not smiling. Botox work best when the tip drops with smiling or animating. Accuracy of placement and correct dosage are also important factors. However it is too early to comment on if the botox will work. please give it one more week and reassess. All the best!

Botox has very little use in lifting a nose.  Nevertheless there are some tip drops that can be slightly improved so it is worth a try.    Full effect for Botox is at about 10 days so give yourself some time.  My Best,  Dr Commons
