For medium to thick skin types, SMASectomy seems to improve nasal tip definition. From the few research papers I have seen using this technique, the results seems to be better than if it were not done. Are there any surgeons who routinely do this? Who are they? Thanks.

Answer: There is no SMAS in the nasal tip, and this is the thicker skin.

Unfortunately, the only method of elevating a droopy tip would be with Revision rhinoplasty surgery. Since you are two years after rhinoplasty surgery, I suspect that steroid injections might not be helpful, and could lead to visible irregularities. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr. Joseph
