Hi, thanks for your enquiry. Rejuran and HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) are two popular aesthetic treatments used for skin rejuvenation and tightening, including around the eyes. They work differently and can even complement each other in some cases. Here's a breakdown of how each works, and what to expect when targeting the delicate eye area:1. Rejuran An injectable skin treatment derived from polynucleotides (PN), which are fragments of salmon DNA.It works by stimulating collagen production, improving skin elasticity, reducing fine lines, and enhancing hydration. For the eye area:Rejuran i is a specific formulation designed for the under-eye region.Helps reduce fine lines, dark circles, and crepey texture. It’s particularly good for repairing thin, damaged skin and boosting elasticity.Benefits:Improves skin texture and hydration.Safe for delicate areas like under the eyes.Minimal downtime—mild swelling or bruising may occur.Number of sessions: Typically 3–4 sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart, with maintenance every 6 months.2. HIFU A non-invasive procedure that uses focused ultrasound energy to heat the deeper layers of skin, stimulating collagen production and tightening.Works at the SMAS (superficial muscular aponeurotic system) layer, which is deeper than most other non-surgical treatments. For the eye area:Special HIFU handpieces with smaller focal points are used around the eyes. Can lift and firm the brow, reduce sagging, and improve crow’s feet.Suitable for mild to moderate laxity.HIFU first (stimulate deep tightening).Wait 2–4 weeks.Begin Rejuran injections (enhance skin quality).Hope this helps.
Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photo. You would have mild improvement with excision of a pinch of skin and erbium resurfacing. Unfortunately, the results would be mild do to thin skin revealing blood vessels. See an oculoplastic surgeon for comprehensive evaluation and treatment.Good luck,
One of the most common causes of dark circles is aging. As you age, the skin below your eyes begins to loosen and thin out so the blood vessels under your skin may become more visible. This can darken the appearance of your under eyes. Hollowed areas called tear troughs may develop as well. Dermal fillers are more effective for deeper lines under the eyes and are also one of the best treatments for under eye wrinkles.
Thank you for your question and photo. You may benefit from a combination of lower blepharoplasty and laser resurfacing to treat your under-eye area. During lower blepharoplasty surgery, excess skin is removed and volume below the eye is increased to create a smoother and more youthful appearance. Laser resurfacing can enhance your results by minimizing lines and wrinkles and improving your skin’s texture and pigmentation. Dermal fillers may also be considered as another non-surgical option to add supple volume and minimize dark under-eye circles. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals with you to determine the best treatment plan.
A combination of treatments is likely to give you the best result. Fillers can be used to help add volume to the under eye. Morpheus8 treatments can be considered to improve overall skin tone and texture. Three treatment sessions are recommended for optimal results. See an expert injector near you to learn mroe.
At home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD ampules) should be started now. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as lower eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning will be the best long term. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella), lasers (Moxi/Halo/Fraxel/CO2), Renuvion (J-Plasma), microneedling/PRP, stem cells and microneedling RF like Fractora PiXel8 or Morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat might be the best solution long-term. I suggest you get a formal consultation to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.
For the dark circles, those are shadows created by the hollowness of fat loss. A fat transfer under eye or some filler would help. Laser treatments would help with the discoloration also. Botox, dysport would help with the outer lines.
In some cases the dark circles are caused by environmental allergens. Not sure if you have seasonal allergies but this treatment is very inexpensive and worth a try.
We have seen great results for under eye discoloration with microneedling with PRP. You will want to make sure you are using pharmaceutical grade skincare (Skin Better "EyeMax" with retinol), and a sunscreen.
There are multiple causes for dark circles under the eyes. It may be due to a shadow caused by excess skin and fat. This can be helped with lower eyelid blepharoplasty, where fat is repositioned and excess skin is trimmed. There may also be dark circles due to the skin quality and texture. This can be helped with lasers or peels. Finally, you can sometimes see the blood vessels showing underneath the thin skin. This can be treated with topical creams with caffeine in them.
