I wear contact lenses (daily disposable) I asked a professional and they recommended Botox above the left eye in order to lower theybrow slightly for a £115 which seems very reasonable. What other procedures would be recommended? I’ve seen good results online with upper eyelid filler. Thanks
Answer: Botox injections Botox injections can be a good option to lower the brow and give a more youthful, refreshed appearance. As for other procedures, it really depends on your individual concerns and goals. Upper eyelid filler can be effective for filling in hollows and restoring volume to the upper eyelid area, but it's important to go to a skilled and experienced injector to avoid complications such as puffiness or uneven results. Another option to consider is a brow lift, which can elevate the brow and smooth out forehead wrinkles for a more youthful appearance. It's best to discuss your concerns with a qualified plastic surgeon or dermatologist who can recommend the most appropriate treatment options for you. Best of luck !

Answer: Why blepharoplasty may be right for you Thank you for your question and photo. It appears that you may have ptosis of the left eyelid, causing the muscles that lift your lid to weaken and produce a slightly asymmetrical appearance. The ptosis can be corrected with blepharoplasty surgery to tighten the muscle and provide a subtle lift. Upper eyelid filler may be able to provide a subtle lift and promote balance, though blepharoplasty would produce longer-lasting results. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon or expert injector. They will be able to evaluate your concern and determine the best treatment option to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Answer: Asymmetry Botox is a great treatment to improve asymmetry of the brows. From your photo it also appears you have ptosis (drooping). For that you could consider surgical correction. Upper eye filler may not give you the improvement you are wanting.

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Botox and filler will not address your underlying issues. You have bilateral upper eyelid ptosis. You also have a compensatory eyebrow elevation. The side with the higher eyebrow has a somewhat heavier upper eyelid and elicits more eyebrow response. The fix for this situation is appropriate upper eyelid ptosis surgery. Most oculoplastic surgeons you will will offer posterior approach ptosis surgery (Mueller's Muscle Conjunctival Resection ptosis surgery). This is very popular among surgeons because the surgery is very quick to perform. However, in my opinion, this approach generally does not offer enough ptosis correction to fix the compensatory brow elevation. For this I find that the anterior levator resection ptosis repair is a much more effective surgery. There is no substitute for an in person assessment.
