Can someone please tell me what in earth might be wrong with my chest? First off my breasts are not symmetrical and one is high up and the other is just doing it own thing. And also what is with the hole where you can see my sternum? Can this be fixed? If so how?
Answer: Implant It appears that the muscle has torn away from your sternum causing this depression and letting the implant settle down more. The lateral pocket can be tightened and fat can be added. I do not know if the muscle can be repaired. Or, you can expand the pocket of the other breast and add fat to the depression. Please discuss this with your surgeon.

Answer: Hole on one side of breast Dear Terrific227246, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Chest It appears that the left implant is displacing inferiorly and laterally. This is usually due to over-aggressive lateral pocket dissection so the implant "falls down and out" from gravity. You can see that the right side has a very tight pocket and the implant position is not as lateral as your left side. This is creating the illusion of a "hole in the sternum". You might need revisionary surgery to address this problem.

Answer: BA It could be capsular contracture … but it could also mean that they did not release the muscle fully at the bottom so the implants never had a chance to fall into the proper position. It looks like the pocket wasn’t opened medially. If your breasts were good after the surgery, but then slowly began to look like this, then that is a capsular contracture, whereas if they look like this from the get-go, then it’s a surgical technique problem. A revision will be needed and of course an “in person” exam is necessary. It is best to consult with a skilled board certified plastic surgeon. I hope this helps, best of luck !

Answer: Breast issues It may either be a capsular contracture (if the higher breast is firmer or more tender and the breast started lower and slowly moved upwards) or it may just be that the pectoralis muscle was not fully released at the bottom and the implant did not drop to the proper position. A revision procedure should fix these issues. The opposite breast with the medial deformity may be either your natural anatomy of may require a slight release to round out the cleavage. Best wishes.
