I am a mother of 3 who is usually around 145 lbs (currently 189 lbs). I have had one c-section and had a naturally flat stomach prior to my first pregnancy. In January 2020, I was diagnosed with bilateral pulmonary embolism with no known cause. In July 2020, I was diagnosed with covid. I am currently on Lovenox. I am unhappy with my breast size (too big) and sagginess, armpit fat, stomach, and love handles. I am working to lose 40 pounds. Am I a candidate for a mommy makeover?
Answer: Am I a candidate for a Mommy Makeover? Based on limited photos and history of pregnancies - you appear to be a good candidate for MM, provided you are cleared by all the Specialists involved and as long as you are safely off the anticoagulant. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS

Answer: Assessing Candidacy for a Mommy Makeover with Breast and Body Contouring Hello coldroad, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your situation. Based on the details you've provided, including your history and current goals, it sounds like you could be an excellent candidate for a mommy makeover. This procedure typically addresses multiple areas affected by pregnancy and weight fluctuations and can certainly help in achieving a more contoured and balanced figure that aligns with your pre-pregnancy body. A mommy makeover often combines a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) with breast surgery, which in your case could involve a breast reduction and lift to address the size and sagging issues. Additionally, liposuction of the love handles can be integrated into the procedure to further enhance your waistline and create a more harmonious body contour. The fact that you had a flat stomach prior to pregnancy and are committed to losing weight is encouraging. Achieving a weight that you're comfortable with and maintaining it stably before undergoing surgery usually leads to the best long-term results. However, your medical history, including the pulmonary embolism and COVID diagnosis, as well as your current medication (Lovenox), are important factors to consider. These will be critical in your consultation with a plastic surgeon, as they can impact your surgery planning and recovery. It's important to consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who has experience in comprehensive body contouring. They will evaluate your overall health, discuss your aesthetic goals, review your medical history in detail (including your Lovenox therapy), and determine the safest and most effective plan for your mommy makeover. Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or need further assistance. I wish you the best of luck. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen
