HI’m looking to get a breast augmentation in the near future and I’m just curious if I will require a breast lift or not. After reviewing classifications of breast ptosis, I feel like I may be somewhere between grade 1 and pseudoptosis. I’m aiming to get moderate profile Natrelle inspira implants in the 400cc-450cc range, and I’m hoping that large size implants will lift the breast enough to not require a lift. Do you think I will need a lift? I’m 25 female that is 5’1 and weigh 137 lbs.

Answer: Breast implants and lift Hello, thank you for your question. I would consider speaking to your plastic surgeon if the implants sit above or below the muscle may affect how they will sit. It also depends on the look you are going for. Feel free to check out webpage for some of our before and afters.

Answer: Breast lift Dear Gregarious155437, determining whether you need simply a breast augmentation versus a breast lift can be somewhat complicated. It depends on a number of factors including skin laxity and current nipple position. Generally speaking, if the nipples are lower than the inframammary line the patient will most likely need a breast lift. If the nipples are at or above the inframammary line we can generally get by with just a breast augmentation depending on the size of the implant the patient wants. I often still using implant when I perform a breast lift because it provides more upper breast fullness after the lift. To be sure a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon will help determine what the patient actually needs.
