Is it OK to wear a t-shirt underneath the compression garment for more comfort?

I recommend following up with your Dr. about the garment. Adding a t-shirt should be fine, but you should make sure this is the right size for you. I also recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling.  I suggest adding coolsculpting/vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin's appearance. Wearing a T-shirt under a compressive garments is a good idea. This will prevent the garment from being soiled. It's a lot easier to wash a T-shirt than an elastic garment.

Yes - you certainly can wear a soft cotton t-shirt underneath your compression garment.  We have our patients do this routinely for comfort.  There's no issue with it.

Thank you for sharing your question.  Though each physician will have their own respective post-surgery protocol for patients, I would not advise wearing a t-shirt under your compression garment.  This can lead to folds or ripples that can create pressure points and possible skin irritation.  I would recommend reaching out for a different garment from your surgeon or ask if you are allowed to moisturize your skin as the itching is normally due to dryness.  Hope this helps.

Absolutely!  This is always my recommendation.  Just make sure that it is a cotton, tight-fitting T-shirt or vest so that it helps with smooth even compression.

Thanks for your question.  I always allow my patients to do this.  I even allow them to do it under a binder after a tummy tuck.  I would clear it with your surgeon.

It is completely fine to wear something thin and soft between your skin and the compression garment. It is not going to affect your results.
