Original BA in 2011. Silicone unders. CC revision in April 2014 in sub-glandular position. Second CC revision 11 days ago, sub-muscular. In 2011 significant bruising on the right side. Also had a pulling sensation from under the nipple when pec muscle flexed. All surgeries used inframammary incision. Pronounced pulling/tearing sensation now with any movement involving my right pec. Right breast still swollen and very bruised.
Answer: Pain in breast If your surgery was only eleven days ago then this pain could be related to just about anything, from trauma to the sensory nerve in that area, to scar tissue forming around the nerve, to the weight of the implant pulling on the nerve. I don't think I would panic about it at this point. I think it will probably resolve over time. Still, it would be a good idea to notify your plastic surgeon and see how he/she might want to manage it, especially in light of the swelling and bruising. He/she might want you to come in for an exam.

Answer: 11 days post op You should be addressing such concerns to your surgeon who knows what anatomy was encountered, what issues may have developed and what difficulties were encountered. Going from below to above and back to below is a lot of surgery so most nerves have been disconnected and cleared out in the area of concern. Your surgeon may be able to provide you an explanation and reassurance that you need to allow yourself to focus on healing.

Answer: Probably temporary One common reason for this pulling sensation is some nerve stretch that often happens in the 9 o'clock position on the right breast. This can translate to a sensation underneath the nipple. Also the release of the muscle in the 4-6 o'clock position can often give this type of discomfort. This discomfort may resolve in 3 months. Massage and/or warm compresses may provide temporary relief.

Answer: Sharp pain behind the nipple after breast implant revision Thank you for your question. If you had your revision 11 days ago, the pulling sensation could be normal and most likely from the swelling. However, you should check with your surgeon, and inquiry about the extensive swelling and bruising. It is unlikely the pain is from excessive scar tissue like capsular contracture at 11 days.
