Jumped off the dock into water and landed on my breast. It hurts reallllly bad. Should I be worried?

I've had my Silcone Mentor implants for 3 years. Yesterday, I jumped off the dock into the lake and landed on my left breast. It's very tender and sore but no signs of bruising yet. Do you think I tore the implant?

Anytime a patient is concerned and having a lot of pain in the breast after an injury should be seen by her Plastic Surgeon for examination and evaluation for a rupture.  The doctor may order additional tests to confirm a rupture.  Good luck.

There's no way to tell about implant rupture based on your recent history of trauma. I suggest a trip to your plastic surgeon and possibly an MRI to take a look at the breast implants.Good luck, Dr. ALDO

I hope you are feeling better, however you should be examined by your surgeon.  Bruising is not necessarily a sign of rupture.  The first step is an examination to determine whether imaging is necessary or not.

I am sorry to hear of your accident.  S you hit the water from a very high diving board or Cliff I doubt that she would've damaged her implant.  However since you are having pain I would urge you to be examined by your plastic surgeon as soon as you can.
