I asked a question before but I got some weird answers so let me be more clear.. my p/s suggest implants with a unilateral crescent lift of the right side.. my question is do I need that? I really would like to avoid a lift but don't want to look uneven without it.. and I will be getting the highly cohesive gummy bear, under the muscle.. around 350-375cc. I posted a now pic and a wish pic. Thank you
Answer: Silicone implants candidate, some advices: Thanks for the question. In my practice i recommend to use - Cohesive Gel - Silicone Breast Implants with textured cover. They are quite safe and aesthetically best as they give a firmer consistency, better projection and most natural appearance than Saline implants.Kind regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Answer: BA Sometimes decisions as whether to pursue a crescent lift or not are left to the day of surgery. With the implants in, your surgeon can decide to do the lift or not depending on how significant the asymmetry is. If minor, I would not perform it since the scarring is a drawback.

Answer: Breast augmentation Hello and thank you for your question. The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. You are a good candidate for a breast augmentation with a dual plane technique. I would recommend avoiding the unilateral crescent lift, as this can change the shape of the areola in an unfavorable manner. You should be okay without it. The size, profile, and shape of the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall measurements, and soft tissue quality. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Answer: It appears you have realistic goals and expectations. Anatomic/gummy bear implant would be an excellent choice for you. As for a unilateral lift, you do have a slight difference in nipple position from right to left, but doesn't seem to extreme, so if you are ok with having the slight difference in nipple position(which apparently hasn't really bothered you for this many years of your life), then implant alone would be acceptable.

Answer: Lift or not Thank you for your question. It is difficult to say whether or not you need a lift based on the one photo you provided. Even with an in-person evaluation, it is sometimes difficult to say with certainty the a lift will be required until the day of surgery after the implants are placed. It should be discussed, however, that a lift may be required and you should let your surgeon know whether or not you are okay with the possibility of certain scars associated with a lift. If you are not okay with the possibility of scars and it turns out that a lift would give an improved outcome, then you need to be aware that your results may not be ideal with the augmentation alone. I hope this helps. Best wishes!
