Lipo 1 yr ago in ATL. Bd cert PS. I had lipo of stomach and thighs. She told me she didn’t need to turn me to get the saddlebags. She could tilt me. Obvious over lipo in some areas and under in others. I had hip dips. She said she could do revision for 500$ in office. I’m afraid she could make it worse. She later told me she couldn’t turn me in the hospital because the table was contaminated. Why?how Is it possible to get such bad results from a BCPS? How likely is it for her to mess this up?
Answer: Revision liposuction In general, refunds are not given. Dissatisfaction is common with many patients despite very good improvement. It is admittedly very difficult to determine what was done with the lone picture. Preop and postop pictures at the same angles and lighting would be needed. Please talk with your plastic surgeon.

Answer: Liposuction revision I sincerely doubt that your doctor will refund your money so I wouldn't push that when you speak to your doctor. I suggest that you lay out the issues that you have with your results. Your doctor has a motivation to make you a satisfied customer so that you will send her all of your friends and neighbors. If you work with her, I'm sure she will try and work with you. Don't make it confrontational. It's not necessarily that she "botched" the procedure. Every plastic surgeon has procedures that did not come out optimally and needed revision. Yes, even board-certified plastic surgeons can get bad results. It's a risk you take when you have any surgery. Her offer to do a revision for $500 is pretty generous. I doubt that you will get another offer that low. If, after you speak with her, you are still not satisfied with her response then get a second opinion from another board-certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Liposuction Revision Lanie I appreciate your concern, however it appears that your best option would be to allow your board-certified plastic surgeon to perform the necessary revisions at what appears to be cost. Sometimes revisions are needed after this surgery in the best of hands. Good luck.

Answer: Seeing my dr tomorrow 1 yr after botched lipo I’m scared to have her do a revision want refund so I can go to another dr Advise? Sorry for the poor lipo results. Now appears you will need revision lipo with fat grafting to dents. Best to see PS experienced in fat grafting and revision poor liposuction. As for possible refunds, can always ask but usually a waste of effort. REvision fees in $8,000 ranges.

Answer: Bad results from a board-certified plastic surgeon it's unfortunate you had this experience. Liposuction it turns out to be one of the easiest procedures to do but one of the most difficult to do well. Because it's easy to do doctors other than plastic surgeons start doing this procedures in their office even though they often can't get privileges in hospitals or Surgery Center's to do it. Plastic surgeons have all been trained in how to remove fat with a cannula but this is not the same as delivering consistent excellent aesthetically attractive results. It seems somewhat greedy to charge you for a revision if it's done as an office base procedure. My experience has been plastic surgeons generally do not charge for revisions but if there are facility fees may ask patients to pay for the anesthesiologist and the operating room. In your case the bottom line is if the doctor is not good at liposuction then that has most likely not changed. If you can't do it in the operating room then she won't be able to do it in her office either. It is however much easier to do liposuction with awake patience when working on the inner and outer thighs, waist, back and armpits with patients laying on their side. It's definitely possible to do this while under General Anastasia in an operating room but it's not very popular with the nursing staff, anesthesiologist and slows down the procedure significantly. Personally I do liposuction with my patients awake so I can have my patients turn in various anatomic positions giving me better results. My best guess is if your provider is asking you to pay for a revision then it's highly unlikely she's going to give you a refund. How are your negotiating skills? Negotiate hard and do the best you can. Perhaps ask for a full refund and be willing to settle on a 50% refund. It's reasonable to not ask your plastic surgeon to cover the expenses of the operating room and the anesthesiologist so it's really only the surgeons fee only you negotiate for. There are no steadfast rule. I encourage plastic surgery patient to discuss what revision policies and refund her policies are before having an elective surgical cosmetic procedure. It's difficult to correct poorly done liposuction. This is especially true on people or in areas that have been over treated. Your photos are a bit limited. Regardless, you need an accurate assessment and this really can't be had on real self even with posting appropriate pictures. Talk to your provider and see what she has to say. Then decide if you're willing to let her do the revision or pay the full fee for another plastic surgeon to help you. Be aware that not all plastic surgeons are all that great at liposuction. My practice is devoted exclusively to this procedure. For the last 10 years I've done almost 100% liposuction and fat transfer work. Some plastic surgeons don't have much respect for liposuction and as such the results are somewhat meager. Look for a center of excellence ( if considering Sonobello then I would encourage you to read reviews first) or trying to find a provider who has extensive experience with this procedure. You may want to check out elite body sculpture in Atlanta. I don't personally know the doctors who are working there currently but that company has turned out excellent consistent results for years.
