Hello, I'm interviewing docs for a chin implant and neck lift. I'm getting different opinions on the implant. One didn't recommend an implant because it would make my mentolabial sulcus deeper and my lips more puckered because an implant pushes the chin horizontally forward. A second disagreed and said the implant is lined with the jaw bone which points slightly downward and so the lower part of the chin would look fuller and tapper into the sulcus. Who is correct? Thanks

Over the years I have used titanium screws in some cases, while in others screws were not needed. The pocket can be made to fit the implant so there is no movement. Best wishes!
A chin implant will give you a stronger profile that is still in harmony with your natural beauty. The implant will balance your face better and may obviate the need for further work on your jawline. I hope this helps.
You should consider an advancement genioplasty for a large chin movement. The incidence of infection is less and very large chin advancements can be accomplished. Good luck. Donald R Nunn MD DDS. Atlanta Plastic Surgeon
