Cellfina two weeks out and cellulite looks worse! What can I do? (photos)

What you are seeing is likely some swelling and bruising, which is normal to experience after having Cellfina™. This should improve in the coming weeks, and you will likely be able to appreciate your Cellfina™ results starting at about six weeks after treatment. However, it can take up to a full year for your results to completely develop. If you are still concerned about the way the treated areas look and feel after a few more weeks, discuss this with your plastic surgeon or the practitioner who administered your treatment.

It would appear that you have some areas that are protruding from localized edema in the prior depressed cellulite areas. In may experience this will get much better. Massage and Velashape or Endermologie treatments would be helpful. I tell my patients that you will see at least 50% of your final results in 6 weeks, 75% in 3 months and the rest by a year. 

Thank you for your question. Your pictures appear to show some swelling and bruising which is quite common following the Cellfina procedure. We treat our Cellfina patients with the Venus Legacy in the weeks following their procedure. This helps to reduce the bruising and swelling while providing some collagen stimulation. It is hard to evaluate your posterior thighs from the pictures but it has been our experience that this is sometimes more due to laxity than cellulite. For skin laxity, we treat with BodyTite by Inmode to get the best results. There may well be a combination of cellulite and laxity in which case we use both Cellfina and BodyTite. In the coming weeks and months you should see improvement in the areas where your cellulite was treated. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

Thank you for your question.  It appears that you have protrusion in the areas that were treated, this can be due to a number of reasons, but the good news is this is likely to improve over a few months.  If you are still unhappy after a few months you can consider a device that uses deep heating like Ulthera, Venus, etc. to further improve the protruding areas.  Regards, Dr. Matt Elias
