I made rice sizers equivalent to 350cc and put them under a sports bra. I like the size these give me. I am considering 350 and 380 Sientra smooth round moderate profile implants. Wondering if I should consider a little bigger to get the look the rice sizers give me. I'm 5' 8", 150lbs and have a 14 bwd. I have some breast tissue with loose skin and what I call sagging from pregnancy/breast feeding. I would like to fill this enough to get some lift as well.

Answer: Rice bag test and implants - Sientra thoughts I personally do not find any use for the "rice test" and don't think it's helpful for volume. At your height and measured diameter (I'm skeptical you're actually 14 cm wide if measured correctly), the implant range you're talking about is about where you'd expect it (350-425cc) for most patients. From doing many of these surgeries, I can tell you that if people are trying to decide between two implant sizes that are both plausible, they usually are happier with the slightly larger of the two. With the Sientra devices, I would not suggest the old "moderate" and "high" profile smooth round models as they're under filled and really can produce some palpable ripples. They updated they're smooth devices to address feedback from surgeons and now include a "moderate plus" and new "high" profile range (the old high is now called the "moderate high") which are filled more tauntly and addressed that issue. They are a 1000% improvement in performance with the Sientra smooth round line. (The new Inspira implant line from Allergan has done a similar thing with filling the implant shell more full BTW.)With your photos and what you're looking at I would consider the 385cc moderate-plus or the 415cc high profile implants as the most likely devices to use. They're both the same diameter

Answer: Rice bag sizers The rice-in-the-bag exercise is a good one and is relatively true to volume- but not necessarily shape. What's most important is not that you as the patient determine which implant will give you the shape you want...rather do what you need to to be sure that your surgeon knows exactly what you're looking for. Then let your surgeon use his/her skills to give you the best result possible. I can guarantee you one thing...If your surgeon doesn't truly know what you're looking for then there's no way he/she can try to give it to you and you'll likley be disappointed in the outcome. Do what you can to be sure youre both on the same page and, chances are, you'll be happy. Good Luck!
