I made rice sizers equivalent to 350cc and put them under a sports bra. I like the size these give me. I am considering 350 and 380 Sientra smooth round moderate profile implants. Wondering if I should consider a little bigger to get the look the rice sizers give me. I'm 5' 8", 150lbs and have a 14 bwd. I have some breast tissue with loose skin and what I call sagging from pregnancy/breast feeding. I would like to fill this enough to get some lift as well.
Answer: Breast implants It appears that you will do well with the larger implant. It is best to consult with a plastic surgeon to determine the right size for you.

Answer: How many CCs looks equivalent to 350 rice sizers? Although useful as rough guidelines and as communication tools, all the modalities currently used to predict what breast implant size/profile will best achieve a patient's goals with breast augmentation are not very accurate, in my opinion. The use of the rice test, sizers placed beneath a patient's bra, goal pictures, computer imaging technology… are all useful, but not necessarily as accurate as one would hope.In my opinion, nothing will replace careful verbal preoperative communication with your plastic surgeon, preferably in front of a full-length mirror along with the use of as many "communication" tools” listed above. In my practice, I use all of the above modalities and then use intraoperative temporary sizers to help determine the best breast implant size/profile to achieve a patient's specific goals as closely as possible. For this reason, I think it is helpful to have the entire range of breast implant sizes/profiles available in the operating room.Achieving realistic expectations prior to proceeding to the operating room is also an important part of the preoperative communication process. Patients should be aware that the results of their breast augmentation/lifting operation will not necessarily match exactly what they are visualizing with anyone of the above-mentioned communication tools.Given your questions and concerns, I would suggest that you schedule additional time to spend with your plastic surgeon. This additional time spent will be helpful in the communication process and in alleviating some of your anxiety.Best wishes; hopefully you will be very pleased with the outcome of the planned procedure.

Answer: Rice bag test and implants - Sientra thoughts I personally do not find any use for the "rice test" and don't think it's helpful for volume. At your height and measured diameter (I'm skeptical you're actually 14 cm wide if measured correctly), the implant range you're talking about is about where you'd expect it (350-425cc) for most patients. From doing many of these surgeries, I can tell you that if people are trying to decide between two implant sizes that are both plausible, they usually are happier with the slightly larger of the two. With the Sientra devices, I would not suggest the old "moderate" and "high" profile smooth round models as they're under filled and really can produce some palpable ripples. They updated they're smooth devices to address feedback from surgeons and now include a "moderate plus" and new "high" profile range (the old high is now called the "moderate high") which are filled more tauntly and addressed that issue. They are a 1000% improvement in performance with the Sientra smooth round line. (The new Inspira implant line from Allergan has done a similar thing with filling the implant shell more full BTW.)With your photos and what you're looking at I would consider the 385cc moderate-plus or the 415cc high profile implants as the most likely devices to use. They're both the same diameter

Answer: Rice bag sizers The rice-in-the-bag exercise is a good one and is relatively true to volume- but not necessarily shape. What's most important is not that you as the patient determine which implant will give you the shape you want...rather do what you need to to be sure that your surgeon knows exactly what you're looking for. Then let your surgeon use his/her skills to give you the best result possible. I can guarantee you one thing...If your surgeon doesn't truly know what you're looking for then there's no way he/she can try to give it to you and you'll likley be disappointed in the outcome. Do what you can to be sure youre both on the same page and, chances are, you'll be happy. Good Luck!

Answer: Rice Bag Sizers Rice bag sizers are relatively true to volume, but not shape. Try on the gel sizers in your surgeon's office with a tight sports bra. This will give you a better understanding of the volume being added. During the consult your surgeon should get a good feel for the result you are expecting. Best wishes!
