I had a mini tummy tuck with lipo about 7-8 months ago (no muscle repair). From early recovery I had a small bulge above the incision that I assumed was swelling. As time has passed, it’s only gotten bigger not smaller. My doctor said he thinks PH which I have only heard occurring after cool sculpting. Is it possible to pockets of fat to grow after tummy tuck and lipo? What could this be? It is firm to the touch and not pinch able. Thanks!

Answer: Bulge above incision Dear HJL20, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Firm bulge above incision 8 months after tummy tuck - what could this be? (photos) Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Unfortunately without an in-person examination it is impossible to offer good advice. Possibilities include muscle laxity that was present even before surgery and not addressed but revealed once the excess skin was removed, a fluid collection like a seroma/hematoma, fat necrosis, etc. I would seek out second opinions.
