I’m currently stationed in South Korea and had a consultation for a TT. The Dr. said he would perform a modified mini TT by removing excess skin, repositioning the bellybutton, and doing some muscle repair. I do not like the bump above my naval, I know that a mini will not fix areas above the navel. The Dr. thought it was just muscle and that pulling the skin would make it better. He wasn’t confident in his opinion. Thoughts?

Answer: Will a mini TT correct this odd bulge above my navel? Hello @Lindaw, thank you for your question. A consultation is essential to develop a surgical plan that meets your needs, fulfills your expectations, and takes into account what can actually be achieved. During your consultation, your surgeon will be able to assess your unique needs and develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Considering options It's difficult to give a recommendation without more photos or an examination. It appears that you have muscle separation causing the contour of the abdomen. This is best addressed with a standard tummy tuck if the separation is above and below the belly button, which yours is.
