Hit nose hard 4 months after septoplasty

Question

I had septoplasty surgery 4 months ago. I was in a bit of a rush day and a half ago at work and really went nose first into this cabinet (clumsy..) I bled from both nostrils and it stopped 10 minutes after. I've been bleeding slightly every since, clogging up my nose/throath and it stops and start several times throughout the day.Nose hurts slightly, not swollen but a little heavy breathing and lightheaded when it bleeds. Will this pass by itself? Thanks

Hi Septoplasty is one of the most common procedures I perform.  From newborns whose nose was deviated at birth to older patients who have there nose broken from trauma.  
Septoplasty is commonly performed to help with breathing. No packing is used in my practice after septoplasty surgery. 
Patients are advised not to return to their normal workout routine or flying in an airplane for 2 weeks after surgery.

If a trauma occurs after surgery your septum may develop a septal hematoma or be moved and deviated once again.  You could even develop a saddle nose deformity from internal bleeding causing you great distress.
Your best option is to return to your surgeon for a nasal evaluation to rule out any damage from trauma.  
Hopefully all is well.  A Board Certified Otolaryngologist is a Nose Expert and your best option for treatment and management.
