Can lip fillers leak? (Photo)

Question

I got lip fillers over a week ago now and the night of getting fillers they were leaking liquid from the injections Site? Also could this be the reason my lips are now uneven?

It would be very unlikely for filler to  leak out through the injection sites hours after injection.  I encourage you to visit with your injector for an evaluation.  A touch up can be performed to help even out any asymmetry.

Hey there  - thanks for the question!  It would be really rare for a large enough amount of filler to leak out to cause asymmetry. It would be more likely if the unevenness was due to bruising  - it should settle in another week or so - but if not I'm sure your injector would be happy to review.

Hello,
This could be due to weeping of the injection site caused by inflammation and trauma. Fillers should not be able to move from where they are injected, especially once the injection site stops bleeding/clots/closes. Its still fairly early post treatment to be concerned with unevenness as there will be swelling and bruising, so i would wait about two weeks before returning to your practitioner for a follow up assessment.
