Hello I'm 21 years old and have lost 50 pounds I have always carried fat in upper body since youth. I've went to multiple surgeons and it seems to be half and half. Some recommend high definition liposuction only, some recommended liposuction with J-plasma, some a mini arm lift.
Answer: Arm liposuction or arm lift? Excellent question! An arm lift with lipo will give you best results. But, because of your age, I would try to avoid the arm lift scar for now. Plus because of your age, your skin should contract somewhat after lipo. That said, Lipo should be done with vaser and or J-plasma to help with skin contraction. Additional collagen stimulus with Sculptra can be performed as well. Again, if you want the best results possible, an arm lift is your best option! Best of luck, Dr. Miguel Mota

Answer: Thank you for your question! With the previous weight loss most likely what would benefit you more in the long run would be a Arm Lift although you can initially try Liposuction with J plasma as a lesson invasive option but sometimes if the skin is more so loose, it doesn’t fully retract, and if it is something that bothers you later down the road, then skin removal would be the best option!

Answer: Arm liposuction or arm lift Thank you for your inquiry! It is hard to determine the amount of skin laxity in the photos. There are other options that might get the result you are looking for. We would love to sit down with you and discuss your concerns. Schedule a consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon to discuss your goals.

Answer: Arms I would suggest liposuction and J plasma tightening for you and avoid any long incisions. You are young and your skin should do well.

Answer: Considering options Congratulations on your weight loss! From the photos it appears you will have improvement with liposuction with J Plasma which will help the skin retract to a degree. However if you are wanting a more defined contour then removal of the skin laxity is needed. The trade off in that case is the scar.

Answer: Arm Lift and Reduction or Brachioplasty Dear Kyrashalise, Congratulations on your weight loss – that's a significant accomplishment! Regarding your arm contouring options, it's clear you've heard a range of suggestions. The best procedure for you depends on several factors, but given the weight loss you've described, it's often the case that skin elasticity might be compromised. With this in mind, I would recommend considering a brachioplasty, or arm lift, combined with liposuction. This approach would help to remove excess skin and fat while also sculpting the arm for a more toned appearance. It's important to note that this option does result in a scar, but in many cases, the contour improvement is well worth it. Thank you for your question, and best of luck with your decision! Sincerely, Dr. Katzen
