Looking to identify my options here. I've had these fat rolls on my arms since I was a child. It looks like there is a rubber band around the skin of my upper arm. I think this was a result of mild childhood obesity; from my research so far, it seems like this condition is difficult if not impossible to correct. What are my options? Would liposuction & skin tightening help? An arm lift may make it worse. I am under 30 & I've been at a healthy weight (150+\-) for about 15 years now.

Answer: Arm fat rolls - would liposuction and skin tightening help? Thanks for your question and photos. It’s difficult to really tell from the photos submitted, so an in person exam would be best. However from the limited views of your arms it appears that you benefit from liposuction alone. Massive weight loss patients can have excess skin requiring skin excision. That does not appear to be you from these limited view photos. I recommend you consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon experienced in these procedures to examine you, discuss your goals, and show you before/after photographs to give you a better idea of the type of results you can expect to get. Good luck!

Answer: Arm rolls Hi, thank you for sharing your question. It is difficult to tell based on your photos and an in person evaluation may be best, however, excess skin of the arms is best treated with skin removal. This can be combined with liposuction to improve contour. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to review all your options. I hope this helps. Best of luck!
