On Friday I got a non-surgical nose job to fix a crooked nose and droopy tip using Juvederm. Initially I liked it but it's been swollen everyday and seems so fat and ugly. How much longer should I expect swelling? It is straight now but so spread out, I'd rather have my old nose back.
Answer: Non-Surgical Nose Job Swelling from a non-surgical nose job can take up to 2 weeks to fully resolve and for the filler to settle in. Give yourself until then. If by that time you don't like your results you can have the juvederm dissolved using hyaluronidase. Best wishes.

Answer: I received a non-surgical nose job on Friday. How long will I have swelling? Thank you for your question and I am sorry that your results have not been what you anticipated. In most cases the swelling after Juvederm will last for 24-48 hours depending on the amount injected. Your final results from the injections will take anywhere from 2-4 weeks to develop so for now use cold compresses to your nose and sleep with your head elevated with a few extra pillows at night to minimize the swelling that can take place. Best wishes.

Answer: Swelling/Bruising/Lumpiness (early) from Fillers I always tell my patients to not love their filler injections for 2 weeks. Swelling is very common and sometimes immediate. It can last 3-7 days and a good idea is to use cold compresses. Cold compresses may be used immediately after treatment to reduce swelling only if needed. This may be applied for 3 minutes, 3 times per day, for up to 3 days. This is best done with a bag of peas in a zip lock bag. Only apply light pressure to the area but gentle massage might be necessary if the bump is from the filler material itself. Get Arnica gel if you can find some and apply a few times a day as well to help treat any swelling. Avoid any blood thinners. Bruising can also last 1-2 weeks. I don't recommend hyaluronidase this early and wait a few weeks until the swelling has resolved. If it is persistent or you are worried, set up a follow up appointment with your dermatologist.
