Is it ok to get a CT scan 2 months after septorhinoplasty?

Question

I am 2 months post-op and have to get a CT scan of my face tomorrow for orthodontic work. I have internal sutures for tip rotation and a graft on the dorsum. Should I hold off on this scan or is it safe for my healing nose? Thank you!

Good question.  Don't worry a CT scan will not affect the results of your rhinoplasty.  I would inform your orthodontist of your recent rhinoplasty surgery.  You may want to provide photos of your face prior to the surgery as sometimes facial and orthodontic features are intimately related.  Take care.

You do not need to worry about getting a CT scan 2 months after a rhinoplasty.  In fact, if you had needed to get a CT scan the day after your rhinoplasty that would've been perfectly safe and would have caused no problems as well.  Good luck.

There are should be no problem of you to get a CT scan of the face at 2 months after your rhinoplasty.  You should  be able to get this medical procedure.

There is no problem undergoing a CT scan two months after septorhinoplasty. They will likely see some evidence of your recent surgery in your nose or possibly the nasal bones but this will not have a negative effect on your result or diminish the utility of the scan for your dental work. There would be no problem in getting a CAT scan of your facial bones following a rhinoplasty since the CAT scan is a spiral series of X-rays that would not harm your bones or cartilage. Good luck with your orthodontic procedure.
