My mole was shaved off. Will the bump go down?

I had a mole on my nose shaved. My mole wasn't shaved off all the way down is there a reason why? It's been a week and a few days since it was shaved. I've been taking well care of it I'm just wondering if it will go down or I'll have small bump. It's flatten but you can still see a small bump. I'm hoping it goes down. Any ideas?

This should be shaved all the way down, at least that is how i do it in my practice. I suggest seeing your physician and asking about his/her long term plan.  Best, Dr. Emer.

It's too soon to know.  Often times swelling can last 6 months or more. Speak to your doctor and get an opinion.  After a few weeks i recommend massage of the area to reduce swelling.  Do not do this without talking to your surgeon.

Hello, often it will take some time after a mole has been removed, for the swelling to go down.  After a few months if it still remains, you could talk to your doctor about a touch-up.
