What is the cost and procedure for removing a mole on my inner upper thigh?

I have had a large, raisedmole on the inside of my upper right thigh where my leg meets my groin since I was a child. For cosmetic as well as potential health reasons, I want to have it removed. What would the cost be to have a mole removed in this area? What is the procedure like? Could it be shaved off rather than cut out?

The cost would depend on the size and location of the mole.  Sometimes a mole is too big and needs to be removed in stages which would also impact the cost.
