What all I can do to prevent my areola stretching back out & prevent bad scarring? (Photo)

Hi I'm having an areola reduction done soon, and I'm wondering what all I can do to prevent my areola stretching back out and prevent bad scarring. I have small A cups so that should hopefully help decrease my risk of stretching. I'm also getting permanent stitches to prevent it. But as far as products or scar treatment is there anything I can do? I want to prevent stretch marks and make my scars as least visible as possible as well as making sure my areolas don't grow back.

I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding post operative care and management (i.e including massage techniques and timing) specific to your case. Your surgeon knows your condition well and has preferences on when and what to use for faster healing and recovery. Post operative care and management depends on the type of surgery performed and the technique used during surgery among other factors.It is best, however, that you follow your plastic surgeon's advice on post operative care management for a smooth and faster healing and recovery.

There is no way to guarantee that the areola will not restretch after surgery.  It does seem you are taking some steps with your surgeon to lower your risk.  Be sure to closely follow your surgeon's post op instructions.  There are many good scar treatments available.  The key is to use them consistently and be patient as it takes about a year for the scar to mature.

You need to wear a good supporting bra and avoid heavy lifting for at least 3 months. Scar products and micro-needling can be helpful after all sutures and tapes are removed.

Your areolas Really aren’t that big.
They’re puffy, and this may be increased with the areola reduction.
And your case, I question if the procedure is justified.
The best way to minimize stretching after surgery is to not do excessive reduction and to use good surgical technique.
In your case, I don’t see the indication and considering the drawbacks to this procedure.
