There is no way to guarantee that the areola will not restretch after surgery. It does seem you are taking some steps with your surgeon to lower your risk. Be sure to closely follow your surgeon's post op instructions. There are many good scar treatments available. The key is to use them consistently and be patient as it takes about a year for the scar to mature.

You need to wear a good supporting bra and avoid heavy lifting for at least 3 months. Scar products and micro-needling can be helpful after all sutures and tapes are removed.
