I had 330cc implants placed 7 months ago. I like my results overall, but my left breast settled lower than my right. My surgeon said he had to lower the fold on that side, but can anything be done to adjust that side so it matches my right? Also, the scar on my right breast is a little more visible, but I like the shape of that one better. They look ok from certain angles and am just wondering if I am being too critical of them / looking for perfection too much.
Answer: Fairly close, but there are options. Based on your photos, your breasts look very close in size and shape, but I do see what you are talking about. Remember that your breasts were not perfectly symmetric before surgery, and will not be perfectly symmetric after surgery. That being said, if you are not happy with your results, the lower pole of the left breast could be tightened to match the right more closely, or they could both be changed if there is anything else that you would like to change your result.

Answer: Reconstructing the fold to change symmetry If your fold has been lowered on the left and you prefer the position of the other side, the fold on the left could be reconstructed to suspend the implant back in a higher position to match the right side. This is often supported with the help of an internal bra.

Answer: Asymmetry is natural in patients to a certain degree As you can see from her preoperative photos there is some asymmetry between her breasts before he got this surgery done. Based on your photographs I think your surgeon has done a nice job With her breast augmentation overall. To me, it seems that your left breast is slightly lower naturally( based on her preoperative photos) then the right. Some element of this natural asymmetry is likely to remain, however if the implant continued to slide down It could be that the soft tissues remaining are not strong enough to support the implant where it was originally placed. This would likely require a revision with additional supporting of the implant to maintain the breast pocket Breast implant surgeries, and procedure that I performed. Answer: Results From your photos it appears you have a nice result. I don't think surgical intervention to improve the lower implant would be worth it for this small of a correction. If it continues to worsen you can consider it at that time.

Answer: Inframammary fold Thanks for your question! I see the subtle asymmetry, but I don't think there is anything you need to do at this point. However, if that implant begins to lower even more on that side, you may need a capsulorrhaphy (internal bra) to add support. Please keep your plastic surgeon posted on your progress!
