One of my breasts sits higher than the other. I would like a breast augmentation but am worried that an augmentation will make the asymmetry more pronounced. Can anything be done to either raise the breast that is currently lower or lower the breast that is currently higher? How realistic is desiring this kind of symmetry?

Answer: Breast augmentation and asymmetry thank you for your question and posting appropriate pictures. You seem to be a very good candidate for breast augmentation and adjustments in your fold is certainly needed and wanted to achieve symmetrical results. This is an advanced procedure and needs to be done expertly. I see that you are in Denver, one of my recent fellowships graduates is Dr. Hasan who practices in Denver and will be able to help you with this. You should go for a consultation.

Answer: Breast augmentation Based on your photographs, the left breast is smaller than the right. The fold at the bottom of the left breast is higher than the right side. I am sure your surgeon will do their best to get you the best symmetry possible. They would have to use different implants to balance the size of the breasts and may try to modify the position of the lower fold of the breasts to make them more even. Unfortunately, your surgeon cannot control how your body heals, and there is no guarantee of perfect symmetry. There may still be asymmetry afterwards.
