Liposuction under tum. local is so safe that so many patients with various health issue are fine doing it as long as the issues are controlled well. There is probably no reason not to get it done now.
As long as you are cleared by your doctor, you can go ahead with liposuction I recommend an in-person consultation with a board certified PS for a detailed exam and evaluation.
As long as these medical issues are being controlled and you receive clearance from your Doctor, you can have liposuction. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction, which can be performed at the same time as a tummy tuck, depending on skin laxity. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF/J Plasma/Renuvion/InMode BodyTite and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Jody. As long as your medical conditions are well-controlled and your medical doctor will clear you for surgery, you should be able to undergo liposuction of your abdomen. Of course your BMI should be 30 or less for best results and safety reasons. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck.
Dear jodygrandy,as long a your conditions are well controlled and you get a clearance from your doctors, you might be a candidate for a surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello jodygrandy,I appreciate your questions! Based on my experience performing cosmetic procedures, you are not automatically disqualified from getting a liposuction surgery. However, before committing to liposuction, patients should be in good physical and mental health. Preferably, they must be free of any active diseases that could make them unable to endure the surgery recovery period. Medical conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure increase the risk of post-operative complications (such as infections, congestive heart failure and/or kidney problems), if the conditions are not controlled adequately. Set up an in-person consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon to get an assessment on your candidacy for liposuction surgery. During the first consultation, you will the opportunity to discuss your specific needs and cosmetic goals. Kind regards! Dr. De La Cruz.
It is good that you are evaluating your health in the setting of possible liposuction. Your physician should have you undergo a full medical evaluation prior to your procedure to make sure it is safe to undergo liposuction. High blood pressure, diabetes, and arthritis should not be a problem with liposuction if they are well controlled and not causing any active problems. Your surgeon should also be aware of your arthritis issues so that you can be properly padded and positioned during the surgery to minimize and risk of exacerbating your arthritis. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD Board-Certified Plastic SurgeonIG: @drjohnsonlee
Thank you for your question. As long as your health issues are controlled and your Primary care doctor states its ok/safe for you to undergo elective surgery, you should be able to have a tummy tuck.Best Wishes!
Dear Jodygrandy,Hello and thank you for your excellent question. Based on your description, I think you are still a very good candidate for liposuction. I have found that many patients can get GOOD results with liposuction alone, and EXCELLENT results with IDEAL Liposuction! IDEAL Lipo is a proprietary technique that we have been developing for the past 12 years. First off, all devices and instruments used are FDA-approved, unlike many fat harvest and transfer devices beying used today. These procedures are typically performed in the office, with only local anesthesia (although patients can request deeper sedation, if they so desire). We typically use Smart / Laser Liposuction or VASER (ultrasound) to reduce dense, fibrous fat, and stimulate collagen formation; Radiofrequency-based skin tightening (like Body Tite, or Thermi) to maximize skin contraction; and Ultrasound, RF, or subcision (Z Wave, Venus, Cellfina) to treat cellulite. Patients go home the day of surgery; typically do not use any narcotics postop for pain control, and are back to light exercise and work 48 hours after their procedures. In my practice, we specifically evaluate patients for these additional treatments, and select the appropriate treatment based on their skin quality, amount of fat, previous treatment(s), and surgical goals. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable. Be sure to have all of your questions answered during a face-to-face meeting with your surgeon, and review before and after pictures of similar patients whom have had this procedure. If you have any questions, call our office for assistance. Good luck! If your blood pressure and diabetes are well controlled and if you receive written clearance from your internist, I think you would be fine for abdominal liposuction.
Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Liposuction on your arms should not affect your tattoo. l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know. Good luck :)
Thank you for your question. The ideal liposuction candidate has localized fat deposits and quality overlying skin without significant excess skin or skin damage. Based on your photo you appear to be a good candidate for a Tummy tuck procedure. Tummy tuck, also know as abdominoplasty, is a p...
